After visiting Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone, the Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania Virginijus Sinkevičius gave an interview to kedainietis.lt news portal and said: “Kėdainiai FEZ is rather young, ambitious and expects very quick results which, of course, never happen quickly, because it takes time for the first investors to come and believe in you. And I am very happy that Kėdainiai FEZ already has such investors. It was truly good news for Kėdainiai when it received investors of large companies both from Ukraine and Germany. This will be a success story on which further foundation can be built.”
Members of the Board of Kėdainiai FEZ Giedrius Valuckas and Artūras Klangauskas presented future and current investors to the minister. Today, Kėdainiai Free Economic Zone has two new factories for processing hemp fibre and producing liquid fertilizers. It is planned that the gas company AGA will build a liquid nitrogen and oxygen extraction plant in the near future, and the Ukrainian company Kormotech – an animal feed plant. The heads of FEZ were happy with the development of close cooperation between Kėdainiai district municipality and FEZ, as well as the positive outlook of public authorities towards the manufacturing companies.
